WEEK #8

At the beginning of the week I finally got the boolean right and I made circle perforations onto the ribs. However, circles are not optimum for this. I need oval shapes on the length.

Here is a picture of the final definition with parametric ellipse perforation depending on the width and length of each faces (division of the rib).

I made a cluster out of this to make it easier to use.
Feels good to use on any shape.

I needed to try in real life, so I bought some nice 4mm cardboard at Bangsan Market.

The laser should be set at : Speed 30 / Power 100.
I wanted to tape the top left corner of the panel to the bed of the laser cutter while the machine was cutting. BIG MISTAKE I had to put my body over the head. The invisible horizontal laser burnt my t-shirt :'(.

Here is my master piece !
I'm happy because I added something valuable to other people. This parametric 3 ribs grid was very rare and nobody explain how to get it and also I think I'm the first on of the internet to add parametric perforations to it.

Maybe next week, I can try to build something useful.

New topic. I have to prepare for this music video release. So one of the idea is to make an Instagram filter out of this mask. I modified the model, I rigged a cable. I want these cables move like a hair.
I imported the rigged cable into Spark AR. I was looking at how to make it move like hair but it's more complicated than I thought.
