I want to drill holes with an optimized position in order to take out weight. If I succeed, I can feel useful because it would improve the original technique.
Took me days and nights to get to this point only to realize that my way of seeing the problem was wrong.
Thus I thought about another angle to deal with this problem.
So ! My new plan is :
- To draw lines on intersections
- To draw an horizontal line on the middle of the rib.
- To split the ribs along these lines. (So I get many small surfaces)
- To get the center of these surfaces To get the area of these surfaces
- To draw a circle at the center of these surfaces with a radius proportional to the area.
- All this will give me the best position for this circles.
- And maybe later I can try an ellipse instead of a circle. It should be better.
This last picture is a screenshot of the entire grasshopper definition from the grid to the notches to the circles.
Took my one day and one night to get to this point. Unfortunately it's not finished yet. I have to solve a loft problem. But I'm very close. Nothing seems to be wrong.
